Dear Buck,

Muchle thanks for the Xmas card and the chewing gum as well as the eight page epistle.

You won’t get eight pages back thats certain.

Been back to the beanery eh! Are you kidding about smelling of fish. That packet of dentyne you put in the letter tasted like a kipper by the time it got here.

The chocolates arrived at Mitcham O.K. just before I went there on leave again. Thanks a lot. Young Jeannie says she’ll write you a letter. Hope she’s got sense enough not to give you all the low-down on your brothers doings in the big city of London. Wow! what a time the pair of us had. The chocolates were a bit smashed up so apparently the company didn’t pack them too well. Can’t be helped tho! You can take the extra two out of the the quid I sent for Xmas, but if you don’t want two extra divvy the rest around.

We’ve got a little Xmas tree up in the room now and its looking O.K. even if the decorations are only Xmas cards and cotton wool.

Merry Xmas, Buck
all for now
Sandy
