Dear Marg and Marie,–

Hello girls here I am again. I thought perhaps it would be a good idea to drop you a few lines while I have the opportunity. This happens to be one of our soft days. I am still not in the front again but are living in the same civilian quarters as before. These people here are treating us swell, we seem to have possecion of their home without them minding it at all. Oh yes the little Holland damsel here still persists on learning English and I am not the one to ignore such a thing, so I volunteer to help her. The last time I volunteered I woke up and found myself in Holland. I hope that this time it doesn't go quite so far.

Well I suppose that back there your winter is still going strong and you have plenty of snow yet. I think that our winter here in Holland is just about capoots. All our snow has disappeared and in place of it plenty of water has come as you no doubt have heard in the news.

I hope you are both feeling tops and having a good time.

This was not meant to be very long, I thought I would just let you know that I still exist in this man's army. “So long” for now girls.

Lovingly
Your big brother
Lloyd
