Dear Mom :-

Well here I am once again and I hope this letter finds you in the best of Spirits and health.  I am not doing too bad and I am enjoying myself pretty fairly.  The weather here is kinda hot and boy am I getting a tan.  every other year I was sunburnt but his year is a different story.  I guess it’s fairly hot a home too around now.

My Mail Situation is good although I’m afraid I’ve neglected to answer quite a few.  I have 4 to write today.  I wrote to George Thomas and I guess he has recieved it by now.  I recieved one from him yesterday.

I’ll have to see if I can’t get up to Rome.  They are saying we will get a chance at it.

Well Mom, I guess it is all the news I have at present so I will have to close.  Now that the invasion has started I hope to see you all a lot sooner.
