Wed. Apr. 11 -

Carried on with parades as usual. Horse lines very muddy. There is a small YMCA very near, rather poorly stocked, but where they give away hot tea and cocoa. What biscuits they do have, they keep for wounded or to send up the line. A little further away is a large "Chaplain Service" tent where is a fairly good canteen. In the evening, I went up the line past old gun position and part way to new as a horseholder. It snowed heavily but I got back early. It was rather desolate looking going thru a ruined village and past our old infantry positions.
