Dear Pepper,

Received your letter of July 12 in record time. It was short and sweet just as you said. I'm in the desert country now with miles of sandy dunes and cactus plants to play in. I've been into town quit a few times to buy some 127 films but no sale. There was none. When I do find some I have to pay about $2.00 a role for it. I saw "Orchestra Wives," "Flight Command," White Cargo," "Casablanca" and many other good pictures here. I've practically forgotten how to dance. About my flying? My last flight was in a Hurricane Tank Buster.

Yes I did get your letters. Are you getting all of mine? Say, with your nose for digging up the latest dirt you most likely know all about me long before I even hear about it. Tom is okay again and raring to go. Willy is raring to go. I hear he's married. Love to the family, Herb and Margaret Rose.

Cuzon,
Frank
