Dear Nellie:-

Your letter came today so while I am waiting for my sumptuous midday report to defeat I'll write a line. Nothing of great interest has happened during the past week so I �m afraid this epistle will not contain much of interest. We have been rather busy in the office last week with draft coming in and getting out. Last night Mac and I went over to what is known as the Khaki College. For the prize of one shilling we were registered and had a record taken of our post prison life. A glance over the syllabus left me in doubt whether to choose singing, [?] or Mathematics. But we took the latter. Then the trouble began. Theou couldn' find a teacher who could teach calculus so we were told to wait
