Launching of the 10,000-ton oil tanker Ss. Clearwater Park from Victoria Machinery Depot at 1.30 today was cause for double celebration at the ship yards, for at noon the ship yards won the right to fly the Victory Loan honor flag for going over the top of her quota of $265,500.
Following the appearance of Herbert Marshall, eminent British actor, at noon yesterday, the workers invested $75,000 in successful endeavor to raise the honor pennant to the masthead of the new ship.

The Ss. Clearwater Park was sponsored by Mrs. Wanda Gill, who until leaving the shipyard recently, had the longest service with the V.M.D. – 14 years.
